Competency Description

This competency refers to the ability to conduct due diligence for the purposes of timely, sufficient and accurate disclosure of material statements/information or document relevant to a corporate proposal. The scope includes reviewing and verifying all financial, legal and other relevant information in relation to the corporate proposal.

Level 1 - Awareness

• Identify the regulatory requirements for the due diligence process.

• Identify and explain due diligence process for various corporate proposals.
• Outline the regulatory requirements for the due diligence process.

• Gather information and/or documents for the due diligence process within given timeline.
• Review and verify the validity of information and/or statements gathered for accuracy and sufficiency.
• Document and present the due diligence findings for preparation and submission in a timely manner.
Level 4 - Mastery

• Define the scope for the due diligence taking into consideration and addressing any concerns relating to the corporate proposal.
• Determine and establish the due diligence working group (DDWG) with appropriate composition and terms of reference.
